The New Domain — CoreyGallon.com
I moved the blog to a new domain -- coreygallon.com. This will be where I host all of my personal sites from here on out. It became expedient to separate my personal web property from the SHiFT8 site due to increased business under the SHiFT8 banner.

Shift8.net Migration
This past week, my site has seen some rough times. I am presently migrating hosting providers from GoDaddy to HostGator, and I have encountered some difficulties doing so. Part of the problem -- okay, most of the problem -- has been due to HostGator's unintuitive subdomain directory structure. For some reason, which surpassses understanding, they force all subdomains for any domain hosted from the account to be pointed to directories in the webroot of the hosting account! This makes hosting two same-named subdomains -- e.g. files.shift8.net and files.theemhproject.com -- impossible as this would require two directories with the same name in the webroot!
I hope to have figured out some reasonable workaround for the problem by the end of the week. Until then, the site is fully functional -- the back-end is just not to my liking. I will live, though. I'll have a good whinge about it and then I'll get over it, I'm sure.

Shift8 File Archive Down for Redevelopment
I have taken down the Shift8 File Archive due to glaring securities issues in the script that ran the site. Due to a widely known exploit, an attacker was able to upload a script that gave them the equivalent of shell-level access to the hosting account Shift8 is hosted from. (I am also, consequently, moving my hosting account from GoDaddy -- BOOOO! -- to HostGator.)
The file archive will be back online as soon as I deploy a trustworthy application to serve it. I have possibly settled on one, and may well put the archive back online before this week is through.
